NYX Cosmetics

Yes I'm Guilty I'm A Fan of "Drag Race"
What does NYX Cosmetics have to do with "Drag Race"? Well this cosmetic company is one of the sponsors of the unique talent show. While channel surfing one Saturday afternoon, I came upon this show, and before I knew it I sat through three episodes in total disbelief, mouth agape mesmerized by the transformations.
Afterwards, I had an epiphany of sorts; if this makeup could make these "guys" look good, what could it do for me? We're talking covering up razor bumps and stubble for goodness sake!!
The makeup on these transgendered entertainers is to say the least flawless, so I figured I'd give NYX a try. I was a die hard fan of Mac Cosmetics, but after perusing the NYX website I fell in love with the prices. So much cheaper than Mac (sorry Mac) but one has to get with the times.
Male Divas
Warning to all; the language on this show is quite blue. The "B" word is thrown about like confetti and in all truth most, including the host, curse more like sailors than ladies. These "ladies" are much more catty and gossipy than we women. Most, if not all of the finalist are working drag queens who vie for top drag queen, with a promise of a cosmetic or alcohol spokesperson contract, money and prizes.
The queens are judged by panelist made up of professional photographers, fashion designers and celebrities in various states of popularity. The contestants are given challenges that change from week to week. Anything from promo shots, impromptu fashion design to hawking products.
I must admit the fashion design challenges are quite good. Some contestants have come up with some ingenious outfits with little or nothing to work with and must be done in sometimes less than an hour.
Goddess Shimmer
The NYX Goddess Shimmer loose face powder is the best. When I apply this powder it literally adds a youthful glow to my skin. The consistency is light, and does not clog your pores. Please note; this as with any of the NYX line, a little goes a long way and less is more.

Nice Posting.
Ha Ha LOL ... I know I feel like such an ugly duckling after viewing a couple of episodes. Thanks for the read and leaving a comment.
What a fun hub, pmccray! Not familiar with "Drag Race" but it sounds right up my alley. Although, it might make me feel just a tad bit unattractive... I could learn a thing or two from some drag queens, no doubt. Rated UP!
JannyC: I agree, I'm a self proclaim hater of most any "reality" fluff, but this is like a train wreck. I've got to keep watching. LOL
I confess I love Rupaul. This is like Americas top model for drag queens wow.
LOL RevLady: your far from old you've got a better attention span than mine. The show broader lines a free for all circus, with some scary looking clowns passing themselves off as women. But some are scarily good enough to pass if a body is not careful.
Very Interesting. I had never heard of "Drag Race" I guess I am even older than I thought.
Blessings!
